SCV Camp 158 Augusta Georgia

CALENDAR OF EVENTS

1/18/25 - Saturday, January 18th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will hold our annual Lee/Jackson Banquet at Bobby's Bar-B-Que Restaurant on the Aiken/Augusta Highway. Doors open at 5:30 PM and serving begins at 6:30 PM.

The guest speaker will be the world renown author and minister David Chaltas (a.k.a. General Robert E. Lee) from Jeramiah, Kentucky.

2/13/25 - Thursday, February 13th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 2250 Sconyers Way. Our guest speaker will be Blake Moore of the General Wheeler Camp in Aiken. Blake is an Auburn graduate from Mobile, Alabama. After retiring from SRS he became very active in the SCV. He has been the Commander, Lt. Commander and Adjutant of the Wheeler Camp and is currently the Adjutant of the South Carolina SCV Division. He was also the 5th SC Brigade Commander at one time.

3/13/25 - Thursday, March 13th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 2250 Sconyers Way. Our guest speaker will be announced soon.

4/17/25 - Thursday, April 17th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 2250 Sconyers Way. Our guest speaker will be a lawyer traveling all the way from Swainsboro to give us a talk on the Confederate Constitution.

4/21/25 - Monday, April 21st - Camp volunteers meet at 8 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta to mow and spruce-up the Confederate Dead Section in preparation for our Camp's Confederate Memorial Day observance on Saturday.

4/26/25 - Saturday, April 26th - Camp 158 will hold our annual observance of Confederate Memorial Day at Magnolia Cemetery at 10 a.m.

5/8/25 - Thursday, May 8th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 2250 Sconyers Way. Our guest speaker will be announced later.

6/12/25 - Thursday, June 12th – Brigadier General E. Porter Alexander Camp #158 will meet at 7:00 p.m. at Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant at 2250 Sconyers Way. Our guest speaker will be announced later.

7/11/25 - Thursday, July 11th – NO Camp meeting in July - Sconyers Bar-B-Que Restaurant is closed for Independence Day holiday!
